Ephemeris sources agree on the dates and the degrees. The exact hour varies with the calculation; that is why the hours are left out.
- Retrograde station: 3 August 2026, at about 0°52′ of Taurus.
- Re-entry into Aries: night of 17 September 2026, Brasília time.
- Direct station: 6 January 2027, at about 26°15′ of Aries.

What is Chiron retrograde?
Chiron is the asteroid associated, in astrology, with the wound that also teaches, the point at which pain becomes perception, not spectacle. Retrograde is the apparent retreat between the retrograde station and the direct station.
The cycle began in Taurus: body, sustenance, worth, the fear of not having enough. On receding into Aries, the question changes from what I hold to whether I authorise myself to begin, including to begin to defend myself. Most of the retrograde, from here until January, happens in the last degrees of Aries.
Questions of the cycle: which wound I reopen to prove that it still hurts; where I abandon myself at the instant I was almost steady; which care is real and what is only turning the scar over.
What this is not
It is not an order to suffer again in order to heal. It is not a rite of blood, cutting or exposure of one’s own pain. It is also not therapy. If the wound is recent trauma, panic or a wish to hurt yourself, stop the rite and seek human help. Chiron does not ask for sacrifice.
In daily life, while it lasts
Treat the wound as something that already has a care that is working, not as a project of reopening. Chiron in Aries, in this retreat, asks for a small beginning of autonomy: asking for help without humiliating yourself, refusing a role of always being strong, marking what the body can bear. Do not tell the pain in public to see whether it still hurts. If the story tightens, stop and speak with someone you trust. The retrograde lasts until January; it does not need to be resolved in a week.
Ritual notes
Materials. A white or light-green candle. Paper and a pen. A clean cloth to cover what you will not reread today. Water to drink, not only to offer. No blade, no photo of the person who hurt you.
Altar. Small and stable. Centre: the candle. The paper stays visible only while you write. Afterwards, the cloth covers it. The altar is not a stage.
Ethics. No magic against the person who caused the wound, no name of a third person, no opening of another person’s pain. Care for yourself is not postponed revenge.
Step by step (20 to 35 minutes, solo)
If the writing tightens too much, stop at step 3 and drink the water.
- Enter. Feet on the ground. I enter the time of Chiron retrograde to name, not to force open.
- Light. Chiron receded from Taurus into Aries. I review the wound of the beginning, with a limit.
- Three short lines. Where I make myself smaller so as to fit. The care that already works, one only. What I will not turn over today.
- The cloth. Cover the first and the third line. Leave only the care that works in view. The wound does not need to stay lit all night.
- A small gesture of Aries. A sentence of authorisation, with no audience: I begin with this. It has to be smaller than the fear. An example of size, not of content: a set time, a one-line no, a request for help.
- Offering. You drink the water. That is part of the rite: the body stays. If you wish, leave a little in the bowl and discard it afterwards with respect. An offering is not payment.
- Close. Put out the candle. Do not reread the covered line for three days. If the wish to punish yourself appears, the rite is over: seek people, not more fire.
