Ruler of Scorpio, he is the great Lord of Life and Death, Lord of the subterranean domains and god of hell. It is of great importance with regard to physical health, at the level of the psyche. PLUTO rules transformations and alchemies, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. It is linked to death and rebirth, and to all regenerative processes, both transformative and destructive, resulting in extremes of good and bad, always renewing and recycling.
PLUTO is synonymous with detachment. In it we feel that we often lose what we love most, life being an eternal mutation, a wise attitude of PLUTO would be the continuous openness to the new and the detachment from what has already passed and we can see the light that illuminates the dark night. Its nature is so indomitable that it sometimes seems cruel to us, possessing the same cruelty of life as it is and not as we would like it to be.
PLUTO is a planet connected with illness and healing. In illness we see a proposal for change and transformation of past emotional patterns. Illness represents resistance to change, and in a process of transformation, those who resist the most suffer the most.
On a physical level PLUTO rules the organic system in a form of alchemy and transformation, including the sexual organs, pelvis, rectum and anus, and all excretory and regenerative functions such as boils, abscesses and flu.
